Hell and Handbaskets
reiha onOk, first of all I have to say the new comic is still coming. I've actually gotten a good deal of scripting done, enough to make sure my comic stays on direction during a plot. Also I have a solid style, for doing the comic on paper and on the computer so I will be making an update soon. But for now enjoy this nice long rant about the lastest in current events and the media as well as the world being not only stupid but picking on different subcultures and stuff. It's not that well thought out and IT'S MY OPINION before I start getting hate mail. Anyway rant starts here
*Ok I've noticed a very disturbing trend going on, and the news networks seem to be turning it all into a global emergency. People shooting stuff up. Now if you are unfortunate enough to have memories from the mid 90's you'll seem to remember the first such global disaster, that being Columbine. The media in their over zealous and mis-informed search for clues, reasons, and possibly more dubbed the 2 shooters members of "The Trench Coat Mafia" and since either Goths or gang members wore these trench coats, it was ruled out that it was gang related. Just so I don't sound like I'm singling that school out, in Chicago, there were several incidents and if my memory is right the media attempted to place the trench coat mafia label on those responsible. I'm sure it happened in other cities as well. So Goth became the new gang, like Crips and Bloods for a while. I'm not going to regale you all with the wildly biased accusations that I faced, the scrutiny and the subsequent ostracizing comments spread about the high school I attended but I wasn't pissed off enough to get buy some guns and shoot up the place. High school is full of dicks, bitches, hoes, pussies, and idiotic ass stupid people who will make those 4 years hell for you. It's common knowledge, it's life, deal with it and move on. Now later on, not more than a few years later a new string of violent incidents are taking place, and this time it's "Gamers" that are responsible. So people from my Age Group seem to be prone to random and synchronized acts of violence at different points. It was real funny when YuGiOh, Pokemon, and DragonBall trading cards became instigators for this violence as well. And it was even funnier when the suspect and victims were 8 year old kids. Not even elementary school is safe from this trend. Now for recent events, Virgina Tech, the NYC butcher, and NIU Chicago all have something in common. The suspects were all part of some psychiatric program or receiving treatment. What social group is next??? Are the next string of violent attack going to be carried out by members of the LBGT community??? God only knows that they have taken more crap than any high school ninny with a gun. Will it be Black Goths??? You they aren't very well received in their own cities. OOOO maybe Otaku, or the Convention goer, maybe those dudes that play DnD, and Magic the Gathering. Maybe, just maybe Juggalos will actually rise up and start just chopping the nuggets off all the stupid people. You know the Wiccan, Witch, and Satanist communities doesn't get much respect, not since the Salem witch hunts. Hell not many people today trust them or even think they are sane, proof of that can be found in Saudi Arabia. A woman sentenced to death for being a witch, is the world going to subsequently go crazy and start a worldwide witch hunt? Should their be such an organization as the Religion Police?? esp since we have a fanatical fear monger in office at this very moment, stuffing his fears down the throats of millions of people all over the globe, and possibly his own religious values. It's the Salem Witch hunt for the 21st century*
Thanks for stopping by have a great day.
