April Fools YOU Day!

Hey guys. So I’ve been doing a lot of serious thinking about Nocturne 21 and it’s future. I’ve been digging into my archives and looking a lot at the old stuff. After some careful consideration, I’ve decided to restart Nocturne 21. That’s right. I’ll be shortly starting Iteration #6, which will return to it’s original manga based roots. It will be a Shoujo high school love story with a lot of action, comedy and lots of shenanigans, much like the original. I feel like the angsty, darker style I was going for is just bumming people out. Not sure when I’ll get this going, but the above image will be the cover for the new volume one and is modeled after a filler page I did for my very first iteration. I’ve already started prepping scripts and thumbnails and I think during my down time the next couple of weeks I’ll redo character sketches. Thank you for your understanding!

Not buying it, huh? Yeah, me neither lol. I guess you could call this a late April Fool’s day prank, but since my real name is April I have license to prank you at any point during this month.

Honestly though, I wasn’t planning to do anything for April Fool’s Day. Being named April, April fool’s day has left a bitter taste in my mouth thanks to my time in school and asshole classmates. So usually I’ll try and sleep through the holiday and move on. I ended up changing my mind because I saw my fellow comic peers do some fun stuff with their comic and I thought it’d be fun to do a dumb callback to Nocturne’s SUPER early days. I wish I had time to really manga the shit out of this and make it look nicer, but I have a lot of work to do so I kind of had to make this a quick thing. All the same, I hope you enjoyed it! Thanks for reading! Nocturne 21 will be back on April 18th!
