When I spend a night drinking, I always wake up at some ungodly hour, and I don't want to.
Amy especially doesn't want to. The best way to describe the way Amy feels can be summed up in a Modest Mouse lyric:
"I'm trying to drink away the hours of the day that I cannot sleep away."
