The Compendiums are a set of books that contain all knowledge of whatever they're about. In the case of the Compendium Mortalis it contains everything there is to know about every living mortal being.Finding anything on any single person is a trial by itself, even if you have hours to study the book. There have been several imperfect copies of the books, most notably the Compendium Arcanus, although each replica has only had an infinitely small fraction of the complete knowledge of the original.
