Well I had a fun time over my Thanksgiving break, had a nice meal, helped my dad move some stuff to an apartment in Peoria, and procrastinated a little too much on the whole take home exam for software engineering… That last part probably wasn't too good of an idea…
In any case, here's a rant:
It's probably a little late to be ranting about this particular topic but here I go anyway. I can;t remember which channel it was but one of them, ABC I think, had it's usual countdown to the COUNTDOWN 'till Christmas. Yeah, a countdown… for a countdown… I know that Christmas has become a massive commercialized monster, I know that most people practically dedicate all the time after Halloween to it and almost completely disregard Thanksgiving, but isn't that a little much? Sure it's nothing new, they've been doing the countdown to the countdown thing for quite some time, but that doesn't make it any more bearable. Personally I think it just gets ridiculous when you practically have 1/6 of the year dedicated to one holiday and make an enormous deal about it! Friggen' commercialization…
