Breaking the Ice

I think this was the first hipster I ever knew of. I think this was also when blazers were more in style. I remember everybody having one. So back in 2006, when Ace was first alone with no friends in college, she had trouble making new friends. She joined the journalism team and was soon off to a junior college newspaper convention in sacremento for the weekend. She didn't really get along with anybody on the team, so she tried to make the best of an awkward situation.
 
Does anybody else remember that pin? Kind of ironic that this story is about breaking the ice, and now I use it at parties to break the ice.
