Last Sunday I ran in the Run For the Cure in support of breast cancer research. Monday, I get the email that inspired me from the NHL: Hockey Fights Cancer. Watching the news tonight I see that scientists have now decoded the 2 billion bit code of DNA for breast cancer. Kind of makes you feel that all the effort is worth while. Everyone in the world is affected by all cancers, either themselves or someone close to them. Taking a stand against cancer doesn't always involve money. Just getting the word out provides awareness which leads to early detection which leads to better treatment. Runners, NHL, families, friends and caregivers, I applaud and thank you.
