Dx Sucky deal, I know. I'm sorry. ;__; Waiting all week long, getting a late update and now this???

Dx I also blame GaiaOnline… that forum can suck up your soul around the end of October, and that's no lie.

But there will be an OBQ page up next week. I'm hoping for an earlier update too… of course, knowing me, I ain't about to give the official word on that. =__= But I will make the effort to update on Saturday. I'll still have papers to prepare for, but at least the page is sure to be done by then. I have this nasty habit of leaving a lot of crap to fix via photoshop. Dx Which takes up time…

But I will answer comments, at least, so here we go. xO

Whirlwynd: ^ ^ Ah, I'm willing to bet the rafters making random angled lines helps a lot… *darts eyes* Thanks I'm glad to know the previous page was a cool looking one! @ @

rmccool: For Nomed, taking the wing off won't really be so bad. (It'll still hurt, though) but the real biznitch will be growing it back. That is a quick process buuuut finally some bit of pain that even snags Nomed. For *cough* certain reasons. However, the regrowing of his wing might not happen for quite a few pages. ;__; (if this comic updated more that'd of course be a lot sooner) But when it comes, you will definitely know it. I intend to deticate a page or two to the process. It will be bloody…interesting!

LanceDanger: Nomed's wings work like a set of arms for him. He does the rolling bit, flying, pulling and tugging things… Blocking things would be no different. xP He can even write with the thumb of his wing as well! (though the … "handwriting" is sloppy. xD )

Xilixon Leviath: Mm'kay, I see… I'll not doubt, you're probably right, as I seem to have some weird inconsistancy with the size of things. =___=; Eep, if you mean that you could not judge the size of the darts well, because they were on the *outside* of this kid's hands… (yeah, he's generally a kid, btw. Think maybe fourteen or fifteen? But their age is hard to say, and for good reason. :D ) Uch, I'm wondering if that's because on the page where the darts first formed, I didn't finish off that one line for his thumb. Dx So the darts looked like they were on the outside of it. If that's the case… eeeeeeek. Amazing how one little line can throw things off like that… Er, try to picture this:

Ace Ventura, the movie, right? That scene near the end where he had those darts shot into his arms and back that made him numb? That's the scene I've generally had in mind while featuring these darts. Consider, perhaps, that the darts appear out of seemingly thin air… They are not made of any kind of metal. They may even be hallow (for the sake of the poison). Also, consider that the large "Pom-Pom" tail may help to slow the darts down so that they do not penetrait that severely… The physics behind it could possibly be off, and that's definitly something for me to add to my list of "This is what needs to be done differently." These darts are not *the lethal ones*… There's actually different varieties of darts that this kid can whip up, and the Pom-Poms change color depending on what type of dart he's using… Dx However, unless I change a few future pages, or intend to have this battle last forever, I'll have to hold off on showing the other kinds of darts he can use… Bit of a spoiler, but this battle's going to shift into a transition heading back towards the story plot, after the next two pages. (VERY short battle. xP Is gone on long enough.) After this, one more quick battle will ensue, and that battle will probably be three or maybe four pages long at most… If I squish everything together. Because of this squish up, I can't show the "Red Pom-Pom Darts* which would be designed to zip right through flesh, much like the arrows from the other guard were made to do. x_X; I'll keep in mind the size issue though! Next thing to improve on… *darts eyes*

Mina_Lunga: Aye, that's a kid there. He's another character based off of one of a cat named Cloud that we had, a year ago. Cloud was a very small cat, hence this is a small kid. He's not a midget, though, that's probably more of my issues dealing with size. xP He's about mer… maybe just below shoulder height to Nomed? I've never done a height chart for these guys =__=; But I'm betting as such. He's a kid, basically. Think fourteen. xO Yeah, I was actually happier with giving Indy a shot like that… I've got pages already drawn out, and lined up, but sometimes I get ideas for better paneling at the last second. Dx The last few pages were actually mutilated and then respliced. I turned one page into two pages, because I suddenly had an idea on how to show the damned rafters… Anywhoos. Yusss…. I think there might be a way to remedy this issue on how much people may find out about how his eyes opporate. My only regret is that it would require telling instead of showing. But those pages haven't been made yet, so there are possibilities to ponder… I intend to dive deeply into Nomed and Ruethin's past after this battle thing is done. There is so so so much to tell about their lives. ;__; It all could have come out, during that point when Indy first asked about their mother… but at that time I figured, "Not too much too soon. xO" and then I didn't realize that it would take *AFRIGGINGYEARLATER* to get back to telling it all again. Dx It's times like these when, I think, some people decide to restart a comic. But damnit, I've waited TOO long to get to this part… I'm going as far as I can. Dx By only solace is that since it's taken so long, I can now get that part done far better than I could have before…

Finally… At first glance, everyone thinks that Nomed is just a hot-headed blast-everything-to-hell-and-back trigger-happy kind of demon… But only one person has ever figured out his true personality, when meeting him for the first time. :3 I was utterly amazed when they figured it out so fast… there is more to behold, for Nomed's personality is more complex than most people may first consider…

Dx Now it's er… four-thirty in the morning. So next page will be on Saturday… … If I don't get swamped by a research paper, a prospectus, creating my schedule for the spring semester and trying to start on some gallery-type pictures for a medieval feast thingy on the 30th… @_@;; hehehe, wish me luck.
