Page - 123 [ Volley Bomb ]
Fyrsiel onI must make an annoucement first. I think there is a high possibility of a filler page next week. If not that then a very late page. Or who knows, I might even find time to finish the sucker. Dx ;; But this week? Yeah, it's gonna be hellish… Especially Wednesday and Thursday…
I have a ten page paper due on Thursday and a Medieval dinner thing I'm helping my class put together… I need to think of a riddle too. -__o *shite* NOT to mention a mini research paper that's due on Wednesday. Yeees… groovey. @_@;
Words on this page? Hrmm… Ah, yes! This is actually a signature attack of Nomed's. Many people have thought that the Client was killed by that yellow blast Nomed gave off On This Page but that is not entirely true. While that yellow attack Nomed has is rather powerful, it cannot do enough damage as was seen when the Client was blasted. That yellow attack is a shock wave, which is best used to shove enemies away. But using it in very closed in spaces is very useful, as you can then use the walls as weapons.
But this bomb thingy here (it's called an Energy Bomb), is what Nomed used to nuke the Client. This little thing is a doozy. Whether anyone can guess or not, I'd still like to explain some of its properties. The sphere can grow to any size that Nomed desires, though usually he makes it about the size of a basketball. He can spike it, much like a volleyball and he can touch the thing all he wants. But once that thing makes contact with some other surfice, the flexible *shell* around all of the energy "rips" and thus the bomb explodes. It's a fun little thing to kick around.
Time for comments. Dxxx
Dx I must answer Mina_Lunga's comment first, because that bit about Physics has left me kind of abashed.
I guess I can say, for the most part "It seemed like a good idea at the time" but in stronger defense, there has to be a way in order to make this kind of manuver work. =__o Let me try to explain what was meant to happen.
Nomed is falling, with the Blade-Kid still hanging on his shoulders. After they fall for a bit, the other kid jumps down from where he'd been sitting (it was a bright window Dx ;;) and aiming for Nomed's head, the kid kicks him in the chin. My logic had been this so far: that when you punch someone from under the chin, the body will usually follow the head… In this case, if Nomed's head were thrusted backwards by a kick in the chin, his body would begin to follow.
I will admit though, it would not be possible for Nomed to flip completely over, just by that kid's kick. At most, Nomed would just be falling headfirst into the floor. I was not sure about this part, but perhaps in theory, if the Blade-Kid lifted his feet to Nomed's back and then pushed with his feet, then perhaps he could flip Nomed over, the rest of the way. Then the kid jumps off after Nomed flinches a bit and let's him go.
Now to consider the principals of physics here… I wouldn't doubt that I've got them wrong. Dx But I was hoping it was plausible, at least… So, Nomed and the Blade Kid are falling… They're building up speed as they fall, but since Nomed has large wings, perhaps there is a great deal of air resistance build up around them, to slow him and the Blade-Kid down. While this is going on, the other kid jumps down. With his body narrow (perhaps I should have drawn his fists under his own chind) and he is consistantly gaining speed with far less air resistance, perhaps he would catch up with Nomed and the Blade-Kid, his momentum would be just strong enough to give a bash to Nomed's chin, and then Nomed's body starts to follow his head…
This was my theory… It's VERY possible that I've got it wrong, which really sucks because it was not meant to be wrong at all. Considering that Nomed's little plan about thrusting himself towards the ground faster, was one of the three basic laws of Physics, I was trying to get a bit of accuracy in there… at least some plausible theory… It sucks that physics would not apply to this page, because I was really hoping they were. ;___; It made sense to me the entire time. I only have a basic conception of physics, though. x__X; Saying that, I'll answer comments during the week if more discussion about this physics matter comes up.
Kira Dwenna: Thank you for explaining what was going on. ^ ^;; Yeah, you've got it right! Ruethin is sorta… sleeping at the moment *darts eyes*
Xilixon Leviath: xD *peace*
Cheeko: That happens a lot… People can make mistakes and I enforce that. xD Nomed is nooo exception to that rule, no matter how battle savvy he may be.
Freakeh: ^ ^;;; I hope there's worth to it all. I go back and forth on that a lot. x_X; I know what this comic can be, but it's taking so much time to get there. After so long, I hope this will be a comic which causes people to look again in order to see things they didn't notice before… But with all this time, that's going to be very hard to pull off. =__=;
LanceDanger: It's hard to make out inconsistancies in this mostly inconsistant comic. xP But, there is something strange about Nomed's reaction to this particular bit of pain. It doesn't go with the rest of his strong tolorance. xO
So that's my author's notes for this week. But I'll probably be answering comments this time, if more discussion comes up about the physics thing. Dx Suuuucks so bad if I got it so wrong… *leweep*
