FFS #45: What a Crybaby

Let me take you through the creative process, here. I found myself sitting at home on Friday, wondering what I was going to put up today. During that pondering, I decided that I should play some WoW, to help me think. Instead, I just played for several hours. Oops.

Friday was write-off in that sense, so Saturday became the day to sit down and work on the comic. Of course, I had to go out in the morning to get groceries (kind of) with my parents. During this adventure, I managed to find Alien Apocalypse featuring the one and only Bruce Campbell, which I have thus far only watched half of. I also took a nap midday, and played more WoW, so it was starting to seem like filler was the only option.

Colin had given me a thought he had for a comic strip, but I felt it needed refining before I would do it. There was nothing really wrong with it, I just wanted to make sure it had a little bit crisper dialogue, and I wanted to really get the visuals straight in my head before I produced it. Mid-afternoon on a Saturday was not the right time to start doing that.

Then the above idea hit me, and that was that. I drew it, inked it, went to my niece's birthday shindig, came home, and hit Rogers along the way. While there, I rented Devil May Cry 4 and, for the first time in the almost four years it's been out, Jersey Girl; which turned out to be not that bad. It's not Kevin Smith's greatest, but it was still pretty decent.

So, while Devil May Cry was installing onto my Playstation 3, I colored and finished the comic. Then I waited a little more for the install to finish. And from what I hear, the install is good, because it shortens the load times by about half a second. I can't wait. But, once the install was done, it was getting late, so I put off playing the game so that I could watch Jersey Girl. After that, I fell asleep.
