FFS #69: He Really Has Seen Everything
Valtiel onIt's traumatizing, you know. I feel for Dan. Once you see something like that, it sticks with you. You can't forget it.
Anyway, anyone that goes to the forums (which is practically no one) will probably notice that things have changed a little bit. The most prominent change is the fact that they are no longer the FFS Comics forums, but rather, the Simulated Importance forums. The first of many changes.
Simulated Importance is a Podcast that is pretty much weekly (with some delays) where me, my friend Kyle, and FFS fan Colin review new movies, talk about stories and items we find on the internet that make us laugh, and we also cover spreading movie and video game news to our little audience. It can be found over at simulatedimportance.com, which, in itself, will be getting a facelift soon enough.
In an attempt to put everything under one umbrella, FFS is going to be changing to Simulated Importance: The Comic, and will likely undergo a small format change. I figure now would be a good time to throw this out there, but don't expect it overnight. It's still a little bit away. Especially because I do not have the funds to pay someone to build the site for me, and I know very little about HTML. But once it is up, the comic's new home will be there, under it's new moniker. I will be keeping the same forums for the time being, so no big change there.
Now, running the risk of a long post that no one will read all the way through, I do want to talk about Street Fighter IV, if not a little bit. I have only had a day to play it, and I must say, it is great fun. Especially for a fighting game. After Tekken 3, I fell out of love with fighting games, and haven't really played one since. Jumping in to Street Fighter IV was a little tough, but after an hour or two of playing, I started to get the hang of it. This doesn't mean I am good at it, by any stretch of the imagination, but I've never been really good at fighting games.
I do want to play the game with the arcade stick peripherals, though, as I feel like the game would play better with them. I only rented it, and I have no money, so I am not rushing out to pick one up. But if I do find myself wanting to play more, with disposable income, down the road, I just may buy it. I'll probably have more to say when we record the next Simulated Importance.
If you want to hear the next Simulated Importance as it's being recorded, via uStream.tv, you can find out when we are recording by following me on Twitter. I will update my feed about an hour before we start, and when we start, so you know when to join in. The chat will be there, as well, so you can talk to us as we record.
