DC High

Years ago, while thumbing thru a site I watch that chronicles animated superhero stuff, I saw an article on a scrapped project called "Gotham High".It gave me sort of an idea that, maybe instead of just Gotham High, all of DC was staffed by high schoolers?(Then, later, I said why not ALL superhero universes)So, starting with DC, I figured who better to kick it off with than DC's Holy Trinity?Of course, I thought it would be cooler and funnier if they were in pseudo-chibi style. I was on a BIG chibi kick back then… still am, sorta. So, I made young Bruce Wayne sort of a goth-wannabe kid with a tattered black trench and a Bat T-shirt. He's paler than the rest, for obvious reasons, and just for gits & shiggles, I gave him pointy ears.Clark Kent; I figured that, aside from the glasses, just follow in Smallville's footsteps. He's got a farmboy tan and faded, tattered jeans, and the letterman's jacket.Diana, I made a cheerleader. Hey, fictional, popular high school girls are almost always cheerleaders! Also, I made her look little more GREEK. (Doug Mahnke's JLA run-era WW was the sexiest I think I've ever seen… and the Greek-est.)
I never went anywhere with this, but that's a good thing, because, about a year and a half later, An artist by the name of YALE STEWART came out with a comic called "JL8" (it was originally called 'Little League' but, apparently because Little league baseball is officially a THING, one can't use that name).
JL8 casts the DC folks as kids, and it blows my pathetic scribbles/writings out of the space/time continuum! It is awesome!! go read it, and tell 'em Johann sent ya!
