I've been waiting anxiously to post this page. The bottom panel is very much based on the silent Phantom, but I stole -and elaborated upon- a quote from the musical.
This page is somewhat symbolic. He claims to be leading her to his "world of unending night" yet you'll notice that the path he is leading her alo…(tharr be more)ng is actually brighter than what's behind them. Is this merely the glow of the Maestro's lantern, or does it have a deeper meaning?
