Page 17. Erik is a good, but strict, teacher. I can't see him taking any excuses. I think him and Yoda would get along well… I think that Christine's feelings are pretty understandable. Taking lessons in the comforts of her own home from a disembodied voice is disturbing, but still somewhat like singing along to her favorite album. Bu…t being there in Erik's presence with his overall intensity would have to be intimidating. Also, she's probably still a little freaked out by the fact that he is actually a person, and not a figment of her imagination.
Michi-No: I had considered this discrepancy, and apologize for it. I probably should have addressed it sooner. My way of explaining it is that Erik probably played the score in a different key that would be easier for her range. Admittedly, even though I do sing (I'm a second alto, lol) I really don't know much about musical score itself so I couldn't say which key, exactly. But I am open to the suggestions of anyone who may know.
