I had one heck of a time working in the idea of communication by crystals. I have too many things that are going to depend on Crystal Technology. Originally it was going to be Pagan based, but again, I do not want to make this comic too much a platform for anything and to be as neutral as possible (even though I obviously love the Wii). So I think it will work out for the best!
