Max disappears from PSI. If you remember, Ford disappeared the same way. They are both at the Final Battle. However, they are both in some missing strips at the moment. Max later shows up HERE for a few strips. After that, it's not finished yet.

The PSI Gang is currently in the Evil Overlords United webcomic.
