I don't honestly remember them saying what gender Ravage was in Transformers G1, but in Beast Wars (which takes place a few decades or centuries or whatever after G1) had Ravage reformatted and came back as a Predacon agent who had a thick Russian accent and was definitely male.
I'm fairly certain they never tell the gender of the movie Ravage and he/she/it doesn't talk, so I decided this Ravage was female. Why not? It's not like they actually have actual sexual organs. The most you get is the sexual dimorphisms (including breasts, hips and female voices) and since Ravage has none of these, he/she/it could go either way. I picked female for the sake of the comic. (Cheetor is straight, after all.)
