I picked up this new Dalek from A-Kon (an anime convention) and usually I like using new figures in comics when I get them. This one talks (using 70's Dalek voice) and is modeled after one of the ones from the 70s…meaning it probably fought the 4th Doctor. 
The gold one was introduced in the 2005 series and is still being used. Meaning that type fought 9th through 11th.
The yellow one was introduced a couple of years ago and so far has only fought the 11th Doctor.
Thus the insinuation that the black Dalek is a few decades older than yellow and gold. But I honestly have no clue about their reproduction or aging or anything like that.
