My sentiment exactly. (Almost verbatim.) I was a huge fan of Crichton back in high school (still kind of am) and was annoyed that they are trying to not only make an unauthorized sequel, but it seems they're trying to avoid crediting him whatsoever. 
But hey…not all unauthorized sequels are bad. I liked Hook.
(Okay, Hook and Jurassic World are authorized as they got the legal rights to them, but both are made post-humorously, so I consider them unauthorized.)
