I think I only have a problem with other characters taking over when I don't like those characters.
What I mean is…I don't like Doc Ock, so I hated Superior Spider-Man, I like Gordon so I'm okay with this, I liked Dick so I was okay with him being Batman, and I eventually came to like Miles, so I'm okay with him as Spider-Man. Granted, I like Bruce and Peter better, but their replacements didn't make me angry.
Plus…the circumstances. Doc Ock stole Peter's body whereas Dick and Gordon just stepped up and took their place.
