There undestanding is that either Palaptine or his master, Darth Plageuis created Anakin. Palpatine mentions creating life and I don't know if he succeeded or not, but with Palatine being his apprentice, he may have learned how to do it. The point is that one of them is technically the father of Anakin meaking Palpatine might be Luke and Leia's grandfather.
