I've been wanting Venom to have a better movie than Spider-Man 3, but I'm not super excited for the Venom movie. I think Tom Hardy will be a great Eddie Brock, but without Spider-Man tied into his backstory, I'm still scratching my head as to how this could work.

My guess would be to go with the Ultimate Venom storyline and make him an organic suit and instead of curing caner, it could be from someone trying to emulate a certain spider superhero. I had heard Venom would be part of the MCU and have ties with Spider-Man, but we wouldn't really see or hear anything about the Avengers or anything. What that means I have no idea.
