I have a hard time believing this story. I mean, I surf /r/choosingbeggars from time to time that have similar stories of people demanding free drawings, free furniture, etc. in exchange for nothing or next to nothing except “exposure” in some cases, but to expect people to pay $1500 to attend your wedding because you couldn’t budget a what money you had actually saved up is absurd. That’s a little less than what I make per month at my job. I would laugh in this person’s face if she told me I had to pay to attend her wedding. I couldn’t even afford to go to my cousin’s wedding in Georgia and I live in Texas much less give her money in the quadruple digits.

And in a few months, this comic is going to be pretty dated.
