I guess it was pretty obvious coming up to this comic, but I hope it wasn't obvious all along. I pretty much wrote most of the characters with the mindset that they were under Scarecrow's paranoia toxin…which is why Superman may have seemed off.

Batman being immune because he was sprayed a lot was inspired by this show I used to watch called "Dan Vs." where Dan gains immunity from pepper spray. Admittedly…not as funny as pepper spray.
