Character Design - Peppermint

And here it is! The first of the character designs for Peppermint Saga… and it's Peppermint herself! For the next three weeks, I will be posting the other main characters for the series. All of them full-color so you know what I envision them to look like. Sadly, I will be scrimping on the backgrounds as I want to save the real art for the series itself.

I AGONIZED over Mint's costume. I wanted it to be the right blend of functional and sexy. I really like what I came up with. Now, Mint herself is a representative of the native D'Gaeriyans. They are tanned and have pointed ears. I bet you thought they would be completely human, eh?! Well, humans ARE on D'Gaeriya, but I will save the explanation of the "how" and "why" for a later plot. (wait, this comic is going to have a plot?) Yeah, I'm afraid so. :)

Anyway, hope you like the design, and look forward to next week. It should be a little treat for our lady readers as I introduce you all to Scar. ;)
