For those that don't remember or didn't get a chance to read Distant Embrace, the bad guys win in the end. The city is destroyed, the King is revealed to be a traitor, some characters die, and one even becomes a demon's minion.

I did a little transition here as the lower half introduces us to the events in Per Ardua. So now the recap will be less general and will start focusing on the current events(Per Ardua is a prequel, so the events take place more than 20 years before the events in Distant Embrace).
