I have always enjoyed jokes that happen in the background, usually they add a hilarious tone to almost anything. One of my favorite examples is in the movie Sleeper, an old Woody Allen film. There's this big party scene and some pudding comes to life and Woody starts fighting it. The fact that it's all happening in the background makes it a hundred times funnier.
