The toys on his table actually comes from a joke from Zero Punctuation (which as many of you may remember is where the Maya comics came from) in one of his reviews (Devil May Cry 4) he has a joke where it shows him playing with a train set, the imp then pops up with a godzilla doll and smashes it. The words "train sets anger mighty godzilla" then show up on screen.

This may seem random and boring but that one joke is what I vote as the FUNNIEST visual gag in all of ZP. I always crack up when I see that for some reason.
