This was one of the first ideas I really had for Teddie being able to break the fourth wall is his ability to actually go through panels and change events.

So I thought him punching Yosuke in the back of the arm while standing in front of him would be a funny way to do that.

Of course the other characters have no idea what's going on or what he's talking about. That's what makes it fun.
