Chie's punchline here is based on an actual story from my own life.

My sister and I were camping out in front of the movie theatre for the 5th Harry Potter movie and an acquaintance of ours also joined us later in the afternoon.

She had to run across the street to the store, and asked if we'd be willing to watch her bag. We said sure, no problem, and I turned to start talking to my sister.

Our friend ended up changing her mind and just took her bag with her, but neither of us noticed this, so when we turned back a few seconds later to see the bag gone, my only reaction was

"DAMN IT! We're bad at this…"
