On the DVD commentary for A Bug's Life, they said that at Pixar they get sincerity through insincerity, and that's how I try to handle any comic where I have to make the concept of death or something else funny.
Since the MC is clearly using tilt controls for the game he's playing, I imagine he's playing Sushi Boy: Thunder, which is a really fun game (and it's free if anyone reading has an iPhone/iPad/iPod Touch)
I'm sure most of you don't care what game I decide the MC is playing, but I like to think it adds an extra little detail to the comic.

Speaking of iPod Touch, I have sad news to report. A few days ago mine had a rather sitcom style scenario with a toilet…It not only fell in after fumbling in my hands, but when it landed it somehow managed to get perfectly lodged in there and it was a good three or four minutes of wiggling and pulling to try and free it from the porcelain prison. I'm trying the steps to fix it, but I believe I'm going to have to buy a new one.
