Just like all old RPGs, sometimes you are fighting a battle every step, and sometimes you can walk half way across the planet without seeing a single monster, so I wanted to make a comic about that and explain that sometimes the monsters are just busy.  When I was playing through the game recently to come up with new ideas for the comic I actually did walk from Gothic to Bortevo without an encounter.
