Maguey is based on the Maguey plant legend (tequila plant) to escape from her mom because she fell in love with a God she transformed herselfinto a plant, she is an homenage of Craig McCracken wife galaxy girls (just saw the picture at deviant art)
and avoided additional media just to avoid being a pirate.
