*At the moment I’m just testing a new theme here: http://www.drunkduck.com/white_and_black/?p=10488 It’s minimalist, aimed at either black and white ink comics or grey pencil work. Tell me what you think?
Page description: First the sailor emerges onto the rear deck, and then Pinky. It seems there was quite a lot of damage to the aft turret, but it wasn’t severe enough to kill the ship, just 20 or so crew… Poor buggers. Both are a bit surprised to see the S.S.V.5. is in good nick! -That would be more luck than anything: shells that can put a hole in the aft turret would obliterate the S.S.V.5 instantaneously on a direct hit. Even if it only caught a small part of a hit, it would have been crushed.
Commentary: Ack, spelling mistake on this page that I’m too tired to fix… Oooo, the colour is all washed out here. It certainly makes a big change from the dark, single and double panel pages, especially the last 3. I find those changes of angles a little confusing now. I’ve not really much to say about this page apart from getting all that camouflage to be in the same spots each time was a lot harder than I thought.
A note: Click the “Main site†link for the latest work. I’m uploading one page a day with commentary and explanations here.
