The Main Pinky TA site has an upgrade and I've also moved all of the other Pinky TA stuff to my Nightgig studio. It's now the new home Pink Skin, my upgraded Fan-art gallery, and my upgraded Pinky Gallery! There's new fanart up there and there's even a NEW ANIMATION of one of the latest pages!
While Nightgig is down you can download the animation from Filecloud, just click on the image below to go there. It's rather simple and short (about 2.64 megs), but it was an interesting little experiment.
Page description: Swish, swip, YANK, thump! The receptionist lunges with her blade, Cc leans back and flicks out he torn piece of fabric which coils around the receptionist's outthrust hand tightly. Cc consolidates her hold, causing the receptionist to drop her blade in the process. Cc then falls back, throwing the receptionist to go of balance and fall towards her. Cc acrobatically uses the momentum to flip the receptionist over her.
Commentary: This page worked very nicely and was 70% finished shortly after I'd done the last one. But multiple problems arose the more I continued to work on it. I made so very many mistakes that I had to redraw several panels a few times. The mistakes I made were huge! Backgrounds were completely wrong, characters were grabbing the wrong arms, facing the wrong way, proportions were stupidly incorrectly drawn etc. I don't know what happened! Those kinds of mistakes are easy to change at the early stages but I didn't see all them until the page was just ready for colour, it's all a lot harder then because everything is so firmly structured at the end. There are still aspects that annoy me, but without reference the figures will just have to stay badly drawn!
Ah I missed you comment last time I wrote a reply! Sorry Hamorhage! Thanx for the comments and commpliments man ^^ I'm glad you noticed the light! They're on the Eastern side of the building and the morning sun is just rising. Both the windows and the blinds are wide open. Are marvel BGs really basic? I haven't read a marvel comic for years and years…. I must find some and see. Thanx again Dave!
Frae, no! No mud! :P Their nice bare skin is easier to see without it. ^^
Thanx Kyupol, YOU are the master of fight drawing here at DD. Coming from you that means a lot man. Thanx Chris.
I don't agree with sub on the backgrounds, they are rpobably still overrandered when you compare it to manga or even marvel comics. Normally we'd have some empty space to focus on the action. I think yo did great using the light in the background to amke the action even smoother looking..ah well..
Iago: Hmm, yeah I could have added a bit to the receptionist… The real gal she's based on isn't chubby, but she's curvy. Cc is a stick, but the receptionist isn't meant to be! ^_^
Einkun: All the BG here was totally done on the computer. Usually I'll do a rough sketch first, but I didn't have any BG in the original sketches, just figures… BGs like this a really simple, not always easy, but still simple: I just use the rectangle and straight line tools over and over again. Even copy and paste.
Coin: Thanx man! But carvajal is spot on, it's just part of the throw.
Carvajal: Spot on! ^_^
Sub: You're not supposed to notice that! :P Yeah, it's true, the background was a total afterthought. I'm just working with the architecture of the simple reception room, Any suggestions about how to improve the BG? (not including room decor)
What? No references? You're crazy! I couldn't have done it. I like most the expressions on the receptionist's face She seems very distraught, frequently. ^_^ Wonder why. Everyone's so skinny! I hate them all!
Sigh… So great comic, again. Your goodness is almost boring. You should go Picasso on us! Y'know, make crappy looking art even though you're more than qualified to create academically superb work. That'd be a treat. Or a bad idea. I haven't decided which.
How do you do it. Everytime there's a new page the women somehow come out hotter and hotter. Wow dude, from apnel 3 on, we're delighted with magnificent lightplay. NOt too mention an almost slowmo matrix effect in that throw! Wow. Tha last panel leaves a lot for the imagination dude.. This is wow…respect
Very nice, is she throwing her at that last part? Looks like she's using her position on the floor to levarage her off the floor and presumably into something.

Cc is not feeling her up, It's a judo grab… at least that's what I tell all the ladies!

The page is indeed very nice, with some very good action - and is Cc copping a bit of a feel of that receptionist as she throws her?

Say say Ozee! Ive been wondering do you make your BGs in the comp or by hand? Just wanting to know, because well you know me and BGs. XD
