Chapter One - A Distinct Lack of Water

Hey, there. This is… not my first comic, but hopefully, will be the first one that works out. I will try to update every week at least, but it should be known right off that I'm lazy and, above all, have no idea what I am doing.
The real plot won't start in for a few pages… I'll just be setting up the background and such for a bit.
You may note that this comic is labeled as American, despite the fact that this drawing is cleary anime-styled. This is because I hope to deviate from this style. When I first began drawing, I drew anime because I thought it was pretty… unfortunatly, 11-year-old me has very different artistic ideals that my current self. By the time I realized that anime was crap, I had become so ingrained in the style that it has become hard to change. Maybe I'll change now, though. Yeah. I like to think that.
On another note, most of the pages will be colored in a more simplistic method. As you can see here, I was playing with the layer effects, which explains the weird coloring.
I think that's all.
Wait, one more thing- I wanted this comic to be called Fishsticks, Pirates, and Rock Mermaids… however, DD does not allow commas in the title. Unfortunate, but hey, now we have a shorter name.
