Explanitary comics - they are just for fun and filler. But they also allow a punchline.

Here, I'm pointing out that most beginning towns have three buildings.

Pallet houses Red/Green's house, the Oak house, and Oak's lab.

New Bark houses Gold/Crystal's house, the Elm lab, the Elm home, and a random (I think).

Littleroot, you just heard about. Twinleaf has four houses.

Most other towns are titchy, too. The largest city in the Pokemon games is Goldenrod City, which only has about 80 people.
