#116 The Electoral Lie

The electoral college is the system of the US presidental elections, in short it doesn't make any fucking sense. Each state is worth points depending on the amount of seats they have in the house representives plus its numbers of Senators. Meaning that California is worth the most, and Maine is worth the second least, first being Alaska. This makes it so if you win a state, say California you will get 55 points. Even if all the people in that state didn't vote for you. A perfect example of this is the Gore/Bush election were Gore won the popular vote, meaning more Americans voted for him overall, but Bush won more states, meaning he had more electoral votes, and won the election. Whereas a true democracy of the people would have just counted each persons vote, or does this bullshit system seem like a good idea to you?

So i'm reaching out to you, i'm trying to afford to buy a plane ticket home, but i'm flat broke. I reach out to the DDers so I might be able to go home over Chrismas, any amount will do, 1 cent or 1 dollar. You can find the donate button just above the comment area. If you donate any amount I will link your comic here. Thank you very much.
