And we begin Beaufort Marlowe's first case. I'm trying to switch it up and make this properly stylized for my parody on film noir/hardboiled detective fiction.
Thanks to everybody who suggested something so far. If you haven't checked out the "Where's my comic?!?" contest, head on over to the forum and throw in an idea. The deadline is on Thursday the 20th. I've already gotten some wonderful ideas, and I think this story will turn out pretty nifty. Hopefully you'll enjoy the ride.
I'm back in the top 1000, too, and not even featured. Thanks for that, too. :) It's nice to know people actually like what I'm doing. It energizes me and gives me incentive to do more.
