Yep, Mike and Roxie have history.
When you're Roxie's size
(Yes, she doesn't change size. She is 4.5 inches tall ALL the time. She started shrinking when she was 5. By the time she was 10, she was only a foot and a half tall) and a boy of comparable size (or size-change ability) expresses an interest in you, you DEFINITELY return his affection.

And, in the final panel, next to the number, is the infamous Walter Scott.
