Even though she's not on the internet anymore, this one artist I knew used sfx in a way that influenced me to do the same. Which…is warp them. A lot. It's a lot of fun actually. Transforms a font into something it might not be recognized from.
AND this page was fun just for the flickering light effect - kinda.
