A couple of hours ago I said to myself "Self, you're going to sit down and do a little coloring on Public Domain Funnies. You aren't going to do the entire goddamned page, but you'll do some of it now and finish it tomorrow."

Well, as the existence of this post proves, I had no intention of actually listening to my internal monologue.

You'll notice a couple of differences between this and the previous pages. First off, I applied the black panel borders to the entirety of the comic page grid instead of just the outside margins. I think it looks better this way and I plan on doing the same thing to the older pages once I get some time on my hands.

Also, you may notice that I finally wimped out and digitally tweaked my colors. I was horrified to discover that the pages of Public Domain Funnies look faded and pale on any computer manufactured after the Hoover administration. The resolution of the images looked fine on my antedilluvian PC, so I was blissfully ignorant for a while.

So yeah, I used Adobe Illustrator to make the colors a wee bit bolder. I'm going to have to do this until I buy a scanner that can better preserve the integrity of Prismacolor markers.

I will also give the same treatment to the older pages once I get around to it.
