I almost removed panel three. This the first time Annie's mother has appeared in the present day (she's been in flashbacks before), and I wasn't sure if she needed more of an introduction. She probably though won't be fully introduced until after the big sleepwalker arc that starts in the next chapter (in a few pages).

I'm not sure why she hasn't appeared yet. But I've changed my mind over the years about who she is in the present day. Is she a civilian, a superhero trainer, a scientist, or a superhero herself?

I specifically make sure in Richard's flashback story, it didn't rule out any but that she probably wasn't a civilian.

This page probably rules out my older plan, that she was a trainer who had lie detector powers. Unless she knows that Annie is lying and is letting it go.

Annie did say previously that her mother's side of the family had psychic powers.
