My thought about all of this is that Mira had two dysfunctional teammates, and she tried to make things work by putting them both into support role. Arim was non-combat, Evilyn was ranged attacks. When you removed Mira, that required both of them to adapt- but also made their dysfunctions clear.

Instead, Mira now will have to get them to both change. To stop trying to do everything by herself.
