(Totally upladed this into the wrong webcomic a minute ago. Oops.) You may think Bebe's TOO cute here. You would be wrong. See, my goal is to reach radioactive levels of cuteness, until you start to glow pink and vomit glitter and shiny hearts. Why? Patriotism.
In lieu of the new Watchmen movie coming out soon, I picked up the book a while back and went through it. Good book, and I'm definitely looking forward to the movie, but… the ending made me angry. It wasn't a terrible ending, mind you - after all, that's why I made something that was almost identical in one of my own books I'm working on. Apparently I had somehow managed to make an absurdly close replica of Watchmen's ending towards the end of The Jackal God without even realizing it. Gotta hate when that happens.
So… also downloaded the demo of Mega Man 9. I haven't played it yet, really, but it's been getting good reviews, and, well, it's Mega Man, just like we remember him. The reason I was bringing this topic up, really, was because the demo is about 65 MB. Now, I'm not a programmer, so maybe this stuff is just way above my head, but… seriously? The game is a perfect copy of the old Mega Man games, and yet the demo weighs in at 65 MB? Now, I can understand that they might need a bit more space for system code in this current generation, but weren't NES games, like, 112 KB in size? I mean, even SNES carts only topped off at about 4MB! Just what the heck is on this thing that the programmers had to shove into an extra 64.9 MB?
Also, if you look below the Comments box you'll notice two new links. The first is The Devon Legacy, run by JustNoPoint, a good friend who's been supporting Punk-Pink with his comments for quite some time. The next onew is Slaughter U Dark Zoey. Now before you go rushing in, this comic is rated A. Red Right Hand warns us, "My comic is Adult/Mature/NC-17 (more for language and violence, so far, but there will be the odd love scene as well - it is NOT a porn comic (nothing against porn comics!), but just very gritty)". I know Punk-Pink is intended for teens on up, but I figure Drunk Duck has already taken the appropriate precautions with its own age filter, so I leave it to my readers' better judgement. Red Right Hand has also done a very nice guest pic, which I'll have to put up when I can.
