So… yeah, no update last week. Thing is, it's come to my attention that while I was busy hammering away at Punk-Pink! pages, a TON of work started to pile up on me - obviously, things like bills and cleaning up this mess the state of Ohio is legally obligated to classify as a residence come to mind, but there's also a few hobby-related items on the list. So, starting now I'll be taking a brief hiatus from the comics, though hopefully it'll be over by early January at the latest.
One is that I'm working on a costume for the upcoming Ohayocon. Curious? See, the character in question comes straight out of Penny Arcade. I probably shouldn't say his name here, but suffice to say he's a fruit enthusiast. This project is almost done, fortunately, which leaves me with one other project.
This project being, of course, something I've put off for MUCH too long. Jer Alford of MiniKomix has, a while back, propositioned me to print Punk-Pink! under his comic book printing label, MiniKomix, and I've been putting it off ever since Punk-Pink! even had enough pages to make a complete book. Alford's been very patient with my constant procrastination, so I think it's high time I rewarded that patience. Today's filler is actually going to be the cover to the book, and I'm also working on some exclusive, print-only pages so that anyone who wants to plunk down cold, hard cash for Punk-Pink! gets more than just computer images on paper. So what exactly is this print-only content? Well… you'll see.
And finally, I've decided to water down Punk-Pink!'s appearance to a more cutesy anime/cartoony style. The more realistic style was fun and all, but I feel that it's detracts from what Punk-Pink!'s goofy, comical atmosphere, and takes a discouragingly long time to make.
