I'm not dead, I swear! Still job hunting, but now that the holidays are over, my schedule should be settling more or less into a regular pattern again.
Anyway, this page was pretty time consuming, but I had a lot of fun with it, I think mostly because I don't get the chance to draw these guys a lot (yet). Veyra and Orun, of course, and those of you with good memories will recognize the bird man. :] This page was all going to be the same color scheme, but I decided to separate them a bit in hopes of making it clearer that they were all in different places.
Voting incentive this week is a preview of next week's page, because, well, I haven't really had time this week to draw anything else. :D
So, Winley & Co. have THREE amulets (damn) while Cai & Co. have only two (of course, they started off with one, so …); we don't know whose side the birdman is on - he seems to be a skulker 'round the edges … but his amulet is purty and kind of yellow …
I like the way Orun won his battle - looks like he beat the creature from the inside. Hehe. Always love when they do that.
Holy Crap this page is awesome the coloring feels very different than usual somehow I can't put my finger on it or probably it's an entire different atmosphere but in both cases this comic is great keep it up man :)
You sure know how to chose your colors, the panels work beatifully together to make an awesome page! I just noticed the beasts' colors matches the pendants. The "spit" effect on their mouth is awesome, with that little touch it makes everything believable.
I wish you the best luck with the job hunt and I also wanted to thank you for your last comment on my comic, it really helped me to grab my pen and start drawing again ;)
Phyrbyrd: I think it's a pretty safe guess to say that we're going to be seeing more of the bird man. :] His name hasn't been officially mentioned in the comic yet, but you can see on the characters page that it is Kori. (And it's awesome that you're dreaming about PT, I think that's the first time anyone's ever told me they've had a dream about my characters, haha)
Lupinus: Well, it'd be kind of boring if they weren't, right? ;) Just kidding. There's a reason that they're strong enough to take down the creatures, but I can't say what it is yet, because that would be a spoiler. :D
Heyhey, I assume we're going to be seeing more of bird-man? Does he have a name? Incidentally, I had a Purgatory Tower dream last night. It had Veyra and Cai in it and I think I might have been Aisha - I was climbing this huge tree and I could get higher but I couldn't get any lower without falling. Weird stuff. You're in my brainmeats!

64Cheese: Nope, he's not from an incentive, he actually showed up briefly on a page toward the end of chapter 1, watching Cai after she blew up Veyra and Aisha. :]
Darkphoenix: I'd say a little of both, actually.
TerryTerrier: The announcer actually said twelve beasts had been released. :] We've seen six necklaces so far: red (Cai), blue (Aisha), orange (Winley), green (Veyra), purple (Orun), and yellow (the bird man). We'll be seeing who the other six belong to a bit down the line.
Xinta: Actually, full body shots of the critters as voting incentives is a good idea. :D I think I'll do that, thanks.
D0m: He showed up briefly toward the end of chapter 1. :)
Sylent: They're just supposed to be little bugs, but they ended up looking like faeries lol. Now that Nick mentioned Navi, I giggle every time I look at that panel. :[

Whaooooo! So very very cool! Loks like Verya still has too much fun killing her targets and Orun still hasnt shown much expression, wheeeeeee hes so hawt. Anyways, bird boy seems to have gotten his butt slightly less-than-kicked…or is he just tired?
