Panel 1. Medium Shot. NICK enters the shop in a flurry, ranting about what just occurred, and startling everyone in the process.

NICK (burst): JOE!

NICK: TELL ME YOU SAW THAT, MAN�

NICK: �SAW WHAT JUST–

Panel 2: Another Angle. Joe is trying to calm NICK down. Vito, the bus boy, is behind Joe cleaning up a broken cup and spilt coffee. Next to him, the customer who just spilt the coffee is looking embarrassed.

JOE: WHOA, NICKY, TAKE IT EASY. WE DIDN�T SEE NOTHIN�. HADDA GENIUS HERE DROP A CUP O� JAVA.

JOE: SMOOTH MOVE, EX-LAX

Panel 3. Zoom on NICK. He�s looking a little weary as he implores Joe to take over the shop.

NICK: JOEY. MAN, YOU SHOULDA SEEN WHAT JUST–

NICK: I ALMOST DIED, MAN. I SHOULD HAVE DIED–

NICK: OH MAN�YOU�VE GOT THE SHOP.

Panel 4. Wide Shot. NICK is putting on his jacket, leaving the shop. Joe, concerned, is directing various customers over to the kitchen.

JOE: NOW??

NICK: PLEASE, JOE. I�LL SPLIT THE TILL WITH YOU TONIGHT.

JOE: * SIGH *

JOE: OKAY, FOLKS, YOU HOID THE MAN! PLEASE DIRECT YOUR CD PURCHASES TO THE CAF�!

Panel 5. Another angle. NICK has left the shop and is walking down the street. A bum is sitting on the sidewalk a few feet away. There�s a cardboard sign next to the bum that reads, �WHY LIE? I NEED BEER!�
