THIS MATERIAL WAS ADDED TO THE BOOK AFTER I PRINTED PROMOTIONAL COPIES OF ISSUE #1. I FELT NICK NEEDED A LITTLE HUMAN MOMENT, AND SO I CHARGED OZZY TO DRAW THIS SCENE FOR ME. IT'S ONE OF THOSE RARE TIMES WHEN I WRITE PLOT-FIRST. I PUT THE DIALOGUE IN AFTER I GOT THE FINISHED PAGES.

PAGE TWO: Nick plays for a few bars (don�t worry about putting in any musical notes or anything, I will do this. Please leave room for it). He begins to sing (again, I will put the words and music in the panel), but eventually fizzles to a stop, doubting himself.

Nick sits in silence, moping and brooding for the first two panels. Disgusted, he finally gives up entirely upon practicing, saying…

NICK: WHAT’S THE FUCKING POINT?

Nick then puts his guitar down.
