PAGE NINETEEN (Six Panels)

Panel 1. Close Shot. NICK is picking himself off of the ground, which is laden with debris. So far we can’t see the immediate area yet, but where NICK has landed used to be an office.

NICK: THAT WAS NOT PLEASANT.

NICK: OK, SO WHAT THE HELL JUST HAPPENED?

NICK: AND WHERE DID I END–

Panel 2. Zoom in. NICK’S eyes are wide, and his mouth is agape from the sight that lies before him.

NICK: –up?

Panel 3. Zoom out to show the wasteland that has become STOLTZ’S city; with bodies laid to waste all over, decimated buildings, and tattered Nazi propaganda all over. NICK is inside what used to be an office, but most of the walls have fallen down from the recent explosion, and he is exposed to the outside.

NICK: OH–

NICK: WELL, I’M DEFINITELY NOT IN THE EAST VILLAGE ANYMORE.

Panel 4. Medium shot. NICK is rising to his feet, prepared to find some answers.

NICK (thought): THIS LOOKS FAIRLY RECENT.

NICK (thought): LIKE A WAR ZONE.

NICK (thought): WHO COULD HAVE SURVIVED SOMETHING LIKE THIS?

Panel 5. Same Angle. The butt of a rifle suddenly swats NICK in the face.

SFX (rifle): WHACK!

NICK: UNG!

Panel 6. Zoom out. NICK is on the ground again, trying to recover. Hovering over him is a Nazi soldier, surrounded by his squad. The lead Nazi is barking questions at NICK.

SOLDIER #1 (burst): WER SIND SIE??

SOLDIER #1: SIND SIE EINER VON STOLTZ'S TRAITORS?

NICK: Y’KNOW–
